Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Langotalk Ltd (“we”, “us”), the company behind Keybloom, handles personal data. We are the data controller for the Service. Contact: hi@langotalk.com.
The short version
- You don’t need an account to use Keybloom.
- Your lesson progress, settings and garden are stored in your browser on your device, not on our servers.
- The notes you play on your keyboard are processed in your browser to give feedback. They are not recorded or uploaded.
- When you buy a subscription, Paddle — our reseller and Merchant of Record — processes your payment.
- We don’t sell your personal data.
What we collect and why
Stored on your device
Keybloom uses your browser’s local storage to save your settings (such as keyboard size and level), your progress and your garden. This data stays on your device; you can delete it at any time with “Reset” in Settings or by clearing your browser data.
MIDI and audio
With your permission, the browser lets Keybloom receive note events from your MIDI keyboard. These are used only in real time to give feedback. Keybloom does not use your microphone.
Purchases
When you subscribe, Paddle collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details to process the order, calculate tax, prevent fraud and send receipts. Paddle shares with us the information we need to provide and support your subscription (such as your email, plan and transaction status). Paddle handles this data under its own privacy policy.
Support
If you email us, we use your email address and message to respond.
Hosting
Like any website, our hosting provider may process technical data such as your IP address and browser type in server logs, to deliver and secure the site.
Cookies and analytics
Keybloom doesn’t use advertising cookies. If we add analytics or advertising measurement tools in the future, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Legal bases (EU/UK)
We process data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service and your subscription), for our legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure and improving it), to comply with legal obligations (such as tax records), and with your consent where required.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us run Keybloom — Paddle for payments, and our hosting provider — or when required by law. Some providers may process data outside your country; where they do, appropriate safeguards are used.
Retention
Data on your device stays until you delete it. Purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to help you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email hi@langotalk.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Keybloom isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data. Purchases must be made by an adult.
Changes
We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
